The First NHS National Coaching Conference Weds 10th March 2010 Qhotels Midland Manchester Hotel Manchester M60 2DS This first national conference will be supported by the EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) and will be used to raise the profile of coaching in the NHS in support of developing a coaching culture within NHS Organisations. Much of the work the NHS Institute has undertaken in developing internal coaching capacity and the process used to appoint to the executive coaching register is widely considered leading edge best practise and the conference will provide a platform to showcase examples of where coaching has improved performance and is being used to change organisational culture. The focus of the conference will be on how coaching can support the NHS deliver in the tough climate ahead.

Leadership in Medicines Safety Safer Care Pharmacy LIPS Tues 13th & Weds 14th April 2010 Holiday Inn Regents Park London W1W 5EE Organisations are invited to send a multiprofessional team to the event which should include a pharmacist along with a doctor and / or nurse with a special interest in medication errors and patient safety manager. . The programme will draw on examples from anticoagulation with a focus on venous thrombo embolism (VTE) and insulin.
